Lightly
spray 9-inch pie plate with vegetable cooking spray.
Line side of pie plate with ladyfinger halves, split sides in.
(To prevent over-browning, do not allow ladyfingers to extend beyond
edge of plate.) Line bottom of plate with ladyfinger halves, split sides
up; set aside.
In
large mixing bowl beat eggs. Blend in sugar, vanilla and melted butter
or margarine. In separate bowl combine flour, cocoa and salt. Blend into
egg mixture. Spoon and
spread into ladyfinger crust. Top with walnut halves, gently pressing
onto surface.
Bake
at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. (Pie will not test done.) Cool
completely. Cut into wedges.
